This is only a snippet, the story continues here (though I had nothing to do with the SurLaLune abridgment (and definitely check out the annotations on their site -- they make the story so much better)).

So many thanks to everyone who participated. If there are any mistakes, blatant or otherwise, I apologize. The fault is on me, not those who did the adaptations.
Happy fairy tales and weekend wonders, everyone!
Moment of Magic today:
I had 10 of them, and they were all so awesome.
What a lark! This is deliciously wonderful! Loved the stories :)
ReplyDeleteSo fun to put them together! Thanks for participating and for your positive feedback. I love that you loved them.
DeleteGood lord that Gmork was so scary I wanted to die!! And then reading about it living in an enchanted barn at the Spiral Jetty was so wild. This was a fun exercise Deb, thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteAye, thanks to you for joining in. It was fun. I loved seeing all the different directions the very same story could go simply based on who was answering and where their brain was heading. So awesome.
DeleteThe Gmork was a great scary thing. The spiral jetty brought it home to me. Yes, a very good way to start the weekend.
Loved them all!
ReplyDeleteI particularly loved how mine turned out to be so appropriate for me, as I am a night owl and grumpy as hell in the mornings it seemed quite fitting.
Thanks for this exercise, it was fun!!
Thanks for the participation and the love. You guys all did so well, it was uber fun to put them together.
DeleteI especially loved that yours was a twist -- the main character was female, thus turning the story on its head. The son followed the enchanted princess to her castle, was stuck there indefinitely, she only came to him at night...oh the joy of this twist.
So much fun.
Ha ha, thanks for posting these! I love it!
ReplyDeleteYeah, my pleasure for sure! Thanks for playing a long with me. Your answers rocked the story, no?
DeleteHow fun! You didn't need to tell me which was Heather's -- "sausaged" and something scary = "knock, knock, knock"
ReplyDeleteHaha! I know! Definitely created a unique twist to the story. Thanks for participating, it was a lot of fun.
DeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, they were fun for sure :)
